A bit of history
The estate is located in the former stables of Bernoville CastleThese were built at the same time as the Château in the early 18th century by the Marquis de Puységur, Jacques-François Maxime de Chastenet.
Born on August 13, 1655 and died on August 15, 1743, he was raised to the dignity of Marshal of France by Louis XV
in 1734.
It was in 1715, towards the end of his life, that Jacques began the construction of the castle, which was not completed until 1743. Upon his death, his son lost interest in Bernoville and sold it in 1746. The new owner, Daniel Camp-Laurent, an ordinary war commissioner, enlarged the stables. in 1748
and will showcase the castle and its outbuildings.
